Notre Dame basketball lands first 2022 commitment

Pretty lofty goals for the youngster!

Mike Brey and the Notre Dame men’s basketball team have their first commitment of the 2022 recruiting class as Dom Campbell of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire made his pledge on Wednesday night.

The 6-8, 235-pound Campbell chose Notre Dame over the likes of Oklahoma, Boston College, Minnesota, and others.

Campbell shared with 247Sports that he has some very high aspirations for his time at Notre Dame:

“I plan on playing as best as I can, I would like to win ACC Freshman of the Year, that would be a personal goal for me, ” he said . As a team I want to win a national championship, and not just do well in the tournament but win. I’ll have big goals at Notre Dame and I know that my teammates will have the same goals and I hope that we can achieve them.”

Campbell comes with a three-star ranking from 247Sports.
