According to former Notre Dame defensive coordinator Barry Alvarez, Notre Dame’s previously scheduled trip to Lambeau Field to take on the Wisconsin Badgers is back on.
That is what Alvarez is most known for, correct?
Alvarez was speaking on his radio show last week and the soon to be retired Wisconsin athletic director made this statement:
“We’ve got it rescheduled. We’ll announce that soon,”
“Notre Dame was able to clear a date, we were able to clear a date and make things happen. We’re going to play that.”
-Barry Alvarez
So when it will be played we’re not exactly sure and who Notre Dame was able to bump from their schedule in order to make it work we also don’t know, but if you were looking forward to seeing the Irish at one of the NFL’s most iconic venues then get excited.
Personally, it’s not that I hate the idea of Notre Dame playing at Lambeau Field but even if it’s more of a home-field advantage for the Badgers wouldn’t it be cooler to see the Irish in Camp Randall?
I’d also be for Notre Dame hosting Wisconsin in South Bend this year instead of at the pitiful Soldier Field but I digress.
Crazy of me to think college football is better when played on college campuses, I know.
