Notre Dame accomplishes a feat against Purdue they haven’t done in nearly a quarter century

That’s a long time between this stat

Notre Dame football absolutely dominated Purdue on Saturday afternoon, winning 66-7.

The Irish were lead by their ground game, which accounted for 362 of 578 total offensive yards on the day. There were four different Notre Dame players to score a rushing touchdown, a feat that had not been accomplished since 2000 against USC according to Notre Dame football’s official Press Release team.

The four Irish players that scored on the ground were Riley Leonard, Jeremiyah Love, Jadarian Price and Kenny Minchey. While it’s not an all-time record for Notre Dame, it was still pretty neat to see them accomplishing a feat they haven’t done in nearly a quarter-century.

It was a banner day for Notre Dame on the ground, and they’ll look to keep it up against Miami of Ohio next weekend.
