No further evidence is needed that college football is officially back after ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday showed an outrageous and super gross mayo bath.
GameDay traveled to Charlotte for the Week 1 game between North Carolina and South Carolina in the Duke’s Mayo Classic at Bank of America Stadium. Duke’s Mayo has a significant presence in the college football world with South Carolina coach Shane Beamer getting a post-bowl game mayo bath, fans chugging mayonnaise and the slightly horrifying mascot, Tubby.
And, of course, for Saturday’s Duke’s Mayo Classic, there was a large mayonnaise presence, which included a fan dousing himself in a mayo bath on TV.

So gross but an amazingly peak college football moment at the beginning of the season, and college football fans absolutely loved it.
