With as heated as a rivalry as there is between the Oregon Ducks and Washington Huskies, you expect a lot of chatter to take place in the days leading up to the game. In years past, with Mario Cristobal and Jimmy Lake at the center of the rivalry, there were numerous comments on “academic prowess” and things of that nature, with bulletin board material posted both in Eugene and Seattle.
This year, though, there hasn’t been very much of that. With Dan Lanning and Kalen DeBoer leading the way, it has been calm and collected in public, though I’m sure that certain things have been said behind closed doors to fire up both teams.
On Wednesday, Lanning had his final opportunity to meet with media members and detail the outlook of Saturday’s game. Here’s an update on what he had to say:
