Jim Harbaugh has something of a penchant for making position switches among his players wherever he goes. He appears to see things many may not, and it’s led to somewhat mixed results.
He’s had some really big successes, such as Richard Sherman switching from wide receiver to cornerback at Stanford. Some switches have been more forgettable.
At Michigan, some of the bigger ones include Chase Winovich, Zach Gentry and, more recently, Mike Sainristil and now Amorion Walker. With Walker’s switch from wideout to cornerback during spring ball (he’s still expected to also play wide receiver this fall) we decided to take a look at the big position switches Michigan football players have made since Jim Harbaugh arrived in 2015.
