Urban Meyer may have no interest in returning to coaching. Bill Belichick can’t say the same.
The six-time Super Bowl winner with the New England Patriots — eight rings overall — interviewed with the University of North Carolina it was reported on Thursday.
The Tar Heels fired Mack Brown, 73, who was 44-43 in his second stint at UNC. Belichick turned 72 in April so this could be a youth movement in the North Carolina coaching search.
Source confirms @InsideCarolina report that Bill Belichick interviewed for UNC’s head coaching vacancy.
“He blew them away in the interview.”
Am told Belichick’s interest is high, and genuine. But extremely unlikely to happen due to his age (72) and lack of college experience.
