Scott Forbes and the North Carolina baseball program has added a big piece to the 2024 roster over the weekend.
After entering the transfer portal just a few weeks ago, former Georgia Bulldogs standout Parks Harber has a new home. And he’s heading to Chapel Hill.
Per D1Baseball, Harber is transferring to North Carolina from Georgia, giving the Tar Heels a big bat as a corner infielder. Parks was one of the best bats in the portal this year and it’s a huge get for the Tar Heels who will now add that to their lineup.
I was 90% certain Parks Harber would stay in the SEC. He did commit to a loaded UNC team. Gotta factor in Alberto Osuna & Colby Wilkerson too. Maybe Castagnozzi gets some time in LF? 40+ win team by the looks of it to me pic.twitter.com/P9FciS7S4S

Last season, Harber split time at first and third base for the Bulldogs and put together a nice season. He had 18 home runs and drove in 56 runs in a tough SEC.
As we are still a long ways from the start of the new baseball season, UNC’s roster is starting to take shape. And we potentially could see more moves in the portal.
