When it comes to converting on third and fourth down, throwing the ball to Mike Evans is your best bet.
One of the multiple Pro Bowl pass-catchers Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have at their disposal, Evans moved the chains on nearly 80 percent of his third-down and fourth-down targets last season, the highest mark of any receiver in the league since 2019 (via The Athletic’s Nate Tice).
Evans has been the gold standard of consistent production for NFL wide receivers since entering the league as a top-10 pick in 2014, becoming the first player in league history to start his career with eight consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons.
With Brady back for at least one more year, expect more of the same from Evans in 2022.
