No fans for Panthers opener which means first quarter of Raiders season will be played in empty stadiums

We are inside two weeks from the start of the 2020 season. Sunday the 13th the Raiders will head to Carolina to face the Panthers in their season opener. And that game will be in front of an empty Bank of America Stadium.

The Panthers Monday announced the decision they would be going without fans for the game against the Raiders. But they’re not the first to make that call amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Earlier this month, the Raiders announced there would be no fans all season in their new Allegiant Stadium.

When they return from Carolina, the will play at home against the Saints. Then they head to Foxboro to face the Patriots, where they have announced there will be no fans in attendance through the month of September. Then it’s back to Las Vegas for the Raiders to face the Buffalo Bills.

At this point, there will be no fans in the stands for the first four games of the Raiders season.

The first game they will play with the possibility of fans is their trip to Arrowhead in week five where they are expected to allow the stadium to be at 22 percent capacity this season.
