Tuesday evening will be the third time No. 8 Notre Dame and Michigan State meet on the baseball diamond this season but the rubber match of the season series will be the only played on a college campus. Notre Dame beat Michigan State early in the year at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis before the Spartans got the best of the Irish recently at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Tuesday will see the 28-10 Fighting Irish play host to the 21-25 Spartans at Frank Eck Stadium. Notre Dame hasn’t played since their 16-10 victory over Boston College on May 1, a series the Irish took two-of-three in while Michigan State is fresh off suffering a three game sweep at Penn State.
Michigan State’s starting pitcher is yet to be announced but Notre Dame will throw freshman [autotag]Jack Findlay[/autotag] who has compiled an incredible 0.72 ERA in 25 innings pitched this season.
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and can be seen on ACC Network.
