The Diamond Hogs got their first SEC win of the season Friday evening, 7-2, in their weekend series opener against Auburn.
Brady Slavens hit a three-run homer to close out a four-run fifth inning, which sealed the game for the Hogs. Slavens has the most career RBIs in the SEC among active players with 160.
Capturing his fourth win on the mound, Arkansas lefty ace Hunter Hollan allowed six hits, two runs, and walked three batters while striking out three in six innings of work.
Arkansas is now on an 11-game win streak, getting closer to the school record set in 2010. With a win on Saturday, the Razorbacks can clinch their sixth SEC Opening Weekend series.
