For the fifth time in five games, the Oregon Ducks are on a different television network. This time ABC gets to cover the game as the No. 3 Ducks go down to The Farm to take on the Stanford Cardinal for a 12:30 p.m. kickoff.
Although it’s on a different network, the same crew that worked the Arizona game on ESPN will be doing this contest for ABC. The Disney Corporation owns both ABC and ESPN.
Media likes to keep the storylines down on the field, but in this case, the storyline is in the booth after analyst Rod Gilmore criticized Oregon coach Mario Cristobal for disciplining receiver Kris Hutson in such a public way. But it didn’t stop there.
Gilmore tweeted out the following in response to Doug Gottlieb’s support of the action.
Moreover, the image of a 51 year old White man berating a young Black man so publicly rubs a lot of us the wrong way. Especially w/all the racial injustice. Bad optics. U can deliver the lesson w/o flexing your power & control. It did not make Black parents I know happy.

Needless to say, Gilmore’s thoughts of the incident have caused quite a stir among Oregon fans.
