The 25th-ranked Huskers played their final home game of the regular season, welcoming Purdue. Nebraska welcomed itself back into the top 25 with a 2-0 shutout win over the Boilermakers.

The Huskers delivered volleys of shots towards Purdue in the win, finishing the match with 19 in total with 10 on goal. The Boilermakers produced 12 shots of their own, but only three on goal. Purdue’s Charlotte Cyr stood her ground as keeper, snatching eight saves, one shy of her season high. But Nebraska managed to get two goals past her.

Eleanor Dale and Sadie Waite each scored a goal on the night for the Huskers. Dale got Nebraska up early, scoring in the 13th minute, while Waite put the game away with her goal in the 81st minute. Dale continues to lead the nation in goals, pushing her season total to 22.

Dale’s goal in the win now places her in fourth in school history for goals in a season and pushes her career total to 38, which is ninth in school history.

The Huskers move to 12-2-3 on the season, making it their best season since 2013. Nebraska will conclude the regular season on the road at Illinois on Sunday. The match is set for noon and can be viewed on B1G+.
