No. 2 Notre Dame-Boston College: FIW Staff Predictions

How high of alert should the college football world be on when Notre Dame travels to Boston College? The FIW staff predictions are in

Michael Chen’s Notre Dame-Boston College Prediction (6-1):

This week has a weird feeling to it, obviously with the history of Boston College upending the Irish almost 30 years ago after their last defeat of a No. 1 ranked team. Adding onto that, Phil Jurkovic is captaining the Eagle ship, which is like seeing your ex with their new partner and you trying to justify to yourself that you made the right choice. Just two weeks ago this same BC team almost upended Clemson, they just couldn’t finish the job against the Tigers.
What’s different this time around is that the Irish have all their conference goals right in front of them (still weird to say that). The team knows the path ahead and can’t look back to the win against Clemson and rely on that to beat BC. Brian Kelly has this team focused this year, more so than previous years in my estimation. The team knows they’ll have to bring their A-game once again, on the road, against a very formidable opponent. The Irish will be ready, they won’t relent, it won’t be easy but Kelly should lead them one step closer to an undefeated regular season.
Notre Dame 31, Boston College 21
