No. 16 Notre Dame Rolls No. 23 Navy: 5 Instant Thoughts

On an afternoon where Notre Dame dominated in every fasset, nobody was more dominant than Chase Claypool, or Ch4ase Cl4ypool as he’ll be known for this afternoon.

3.  Great Defensive Gameplan/Execution

You heard it all week about how disciplined Navy is and how they won’t shoot themselves in the foot.  In a game where self-inflicted wounds would only be that much more harmful, Notre Dame did everything right defensively when the issue was still in doubt.

It was an afternoon that Navy lost four fumbles but the two early on were especially harmful to the Academy as their offense isn’t built to comeback from big deficits.

A 38-3 halftime lead over Navy is as good as you can ever ask for and makes it hard to complain much about some younger guys getting burnt for scores at the end of the day.
