Four-star edge prospect Bryce Davis unofficially visited Tennessee on April 15 for the Orange & White Game.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Davis is from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina.
He discussed visiting Tennessee with Vols Wire.
“It was just an all-out good visit,” Davis said. “I got to learn a lot from the coaching staff sitting in the meeting room. The food was great and I’m just looking forward to continue building a bond with the coaches.”
Davis discussed his impressions of practice and Tennessee’s fans.
“I went to the spring practice and it was very intense and high energy,” he said. “They got after each other, and the coaches got after them, and it just made me want to jump in and start working. Their fan base is ridiculous. They were tailgating at 9 a.m. for the spring game.”
Davis detailed his relationship with Tennessee’s senior defensive analyst Levorn Harbin.
“I’ve talked to coach the most and I think we have a pretty good relationship as of now,” he said of Harbin. “I think I fit in well to the scheme, playing that defensive end role and being able to stand up and rush the quarterback, as well.”
Davis is the No. 51 overall prospect and No. 8 edge prospect in the class of 2025. He ranks as the No. 3 player and No. 1 edge prospect in North Carolina, according to On3’s industry rankings.
Tennessee is a top school for Davis in his recruitment.
“As of right now, they are pretty high on my list,” the 2025 prospect said. “They made a really good first impression for me, and I’m just excited to learn more about the program and get closer with the coaches.”
As a 2025 prospect, Davis’ recruitment is still early in the process, but aims to have a decision in 2024.
“I’m taking it slow at this point,” Davis concluded. “Just building different relationships, but I’m planning on committing next summer.”
