N’Keal Harry: ‘You’d be a fool to think that my spirit can be broken’

The former first-round pick isn’t getting down despite the negativity.

The 2020 season hasn’t exactly gone the way that many people in New England would’ve dreamed. Bill Belichick’s squad has struggled mightily. They currently find themselves with a 4-6 record and in third place in the AFC East only above the winless Jets.

Of all of the disappointments throughout the year, the lack of production from N’Keal Harry could be considered one of the biggest. Coming into the season, he was projected the second wide receiver on the depth chart behind Julian Edelman. However, his play cost him that spot.

Harry doesn’t seem to be deterred by the negative attention he’s receiving from the media and fans, as he showed in this post on Twitter.

It’s great to see the former first-round pick still has the fire and belief in his ability. He will continue to work because that’s just the type of guy he is. While it would be easy for anybody to be feeling down with all of the constant negativity surrounding him, Harry just isn’t that guy.

It takes players different lengths of time to adjust and find their way in the NFL, and this type of attitude should bring hope that Harry can find his role and be a consistent, productive receiver.

In eight games this season, Harry has recorded 24 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown.
