After three consecutive losses in Big Ten play to wrap up a dreadful October, Penn State is looking to get November started in a much better way. But the Nittany Lions will have to look for a way to snap their losing streak while away from home against one of the teams that defeated them last season, the Maryland Terrapins.
Maryland has a chance to put up a solid fight, but our staff is feeling pretty confident in Penn State’s chances of getting out of College Park with a win this weekend south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

Penn State is coming off three straight losses. however, despite going down last week against Ohio State, they still impressed and didn’t go down without a fight.
Maryland has been streaky all season. This could be a nice game for Penn State to get their run game going. Their only productive run game was aginst Indiana, whom Maryland just beat last week 38-35.
I think Penn State should be able to win this game in fashion with a score of 27-10.

Penn State is due for a win, and Maryland is a pretty good opponent to finally line up a victory formation at the end of a game. Yes, Maryland has the potential to make some plays and they did score an upset in Happy Valley last season, but the way Penn State was able to play last week with a healthy (healthier?) Sean Clifford paired with the ability of the defense to establish control of the game is a good pairing for the Nittany Lions this week. Penn State wins this one pulling away in the second half to start November on the right foot.
Penn State 36, Maryland 17

My prediction for Penn State against Maryland this is a revenge game for Penn State after how Maryland embarrassed them last year in Beaver Stadium. The Penn State defense will come up and make some big stops.
Penn State wins 23-17.
