The UCLA Bruins have a tough road trip across the country to face off against Penn State. On top of that, kickoff is set for noon Eastern time, making it 9 am Pacific time.
The Bruins already have a hard enough time this year, and doing a cross-country trip and playing an early game won’t do them any favors.
Kevin McGuire of Nittany Lions Wire detailed the all-time series between these two programs, and they will be playing each other a lot more now that they are both in the Big Ten Conference.
Penn State has faced UCLA six times and all six of those meetings were played between 1963 and 1968. Penn State is 1-3 in three games played in Beaver Stadium against the Bruins, but this will be quite a different environment UCLA will be walking into in 2024 as it was in 1967, the last time UCLA played at Penn State.
The last meeting between them was in 1968 when Penn State came to LA, and UCLA went to Penn State in 1967, so it has been a long time since these programs have faced off against each other.
