The Chicago Bulls came into the 2022-23 season with the entirety of their core group from the 2021-22 season back and ready to grow together.
For the Bulls to advance past the first-round this season, where they fell to the Milwaukee Bucks last postseason, their team chemistry on offense must be better to eliminate stagnation.
“It’s about not getting stagnant,” Nikola Vucevic said after Monday’s victory. “Last year a lot of times we would just separate and whoever had the mismatch go. And I think that’s where I think our offense got stagnant a lot.”
Both Vucevic and Billy Donovan have been vocal since training camp about offensive continuity, specifically putting Vooch in the best positions to succeed.
“It’s not so much about my usage as far as number of shots. It’s more of the positions on the court where I can be effective,” Vucevic said at media day.
So far this season, including in Monday night’s convincing victory over the Celtics, the Bulls are finding Vooch in the right spots on the offensive end of the floor.

“It’s something we knew we had issues with in the past and are trying to work on. So far it’s been much better than last year. This team has been together longer now. We know each other better,” Vucevic said.”
