The Eagles released Devin White on Tuesday, ending weeks of speculation about why the veteran linebacker was inactive for four straight games.
During his Wednesday press conference, head coach Nick Sirianni addressed White’s release, calling the linebacker a “great professional” who did his business correctly.
Asked to clarify, Sirianni stated that the Eagles liked the linebackers they had on the roster.

Philadelphia has had Nakobe Dean and Zack Baun start as linebackers, with mixed results.
According to The Athletic, the Eagles allow the NFL’s fourth-most yards per rush (5.0) and pressure quarterbacks at the fourth-lowest rate (15.9 percent) through five weeks of play.
