Cincinnati centerfielder Nick Senzel’s 13-game on-base streak ended Thursday.
The Reds won one game of a double header at Great American Ball Park.
In the first game, the Pirates defeated Cincinnati, 4-2.
Senzel appeared as a pinch-hitter and went 0-for-1. He remained in the game as an outfielder.
In game No. 2, The Reds defeated Pittsburgh, 5-1. Senzel went 0-for-3 and scored one run after reaching base on an error.
Senzel was the No. 2 overall pick by Cincinnati in the 2016 MLB draft. He made his Major League Baseball debut in 2019.
Senzel played for the Vols from 2014-16. He was an All-America standout at Tennessee.
