Centerfielder Nick Senzel, who recently had a 13-game on-base streak end, recorded two hits in the Reds’ 2-1 victory against Tampa Bay Friday at Great American Ball Park.
Senzel has recorded at least one hit in 13 of his last 16 games and is batting .259 this season.
Senzel went 2-for-3 Friday, recording his sixth double in 2022 Friday.
The former Vol was the No. 2 overall pick by the Reds in the 2016 MLB draft. He made his Major League debut in 2019.
Senzel played three seasons at Tennessee from 2014-16. He was an All-America standout for the Vols.
During his junior year and final season at Tennessee, he led the SEC with 25 doubles.
