Former University of Tennessee baseball player Nick Senzel recorded three hits and one RBI for the Reds on Friday.
The Los Angeles Angels defeated Cincinnati, 7-6, during spring training at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
Senzel started in center field for the Reds and went 3-for-4.
Senzel played for Tennessee from 2014-16. He led the Southeastern Conference with 25 doubles and was nominated for the Golden Spikes Award in 2016.
Senzel was selected by Cincinnati with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 MLB draft. He made his Major League debut for the Reds in 2019.
He has a career batting average of .246, recording 15 home runs and 58 RBIs.
