Former Vol Nick Senzel recorded one hit for Cincinnati Thursday.
Senzel started at second base in the Reds’ 4-0 loss at Philadelphia. He went 1-for-4 in the game.
The former Vol has recorded a .245 batting average in 2022, totaling four home runs, 22 RBIs, 11 doubles, six stolen bases and 39 runs. Senzel has recorded nine hits in his last 12 games.
Senzel was the No. 2 overall pick by the Reds in the 2016 MLB draft. He made his Major League Baseball debut in 2019.
Senzel played for Tennessee from 2014-16 and was an All-American for the Vols.
During his junior and final season at Tennessee, he led the SEC with 25 doubles.
