Cincinnati centerfielder Nick Senzel recorded one hit and scored one run in the Reds’ 7-6 loss to Philadelphia Tuesday at Citizens Bank Park.
Senzel went 1-for-4 and scored the tying run in the ninth inning. He scored on a two-run go-ahead triple by designated hitter TJ Friedl, giving the Reds a 6-5 lead.
The Phillies rallied to win the game in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The former Vol has recorded seven hits in his last 10 games.
Senzel has recorded a .247 batting average, totaling four home runs, 22 RBIs, 11 doubles, six stolen bases and 39 runs..
Senzel played for Tennessee from 2016-18 and was the No. 2 overall pick by the Reds in the 2016 MLB draft. The former Vol made his MLB debut in 2019.
