Nick Senzel recorded one hit and two walks in the Reds’ 7-5 loss at Philadelphia Wednesday.
Senzel started at centerfield and later played second base. He went 1-for-3 against the Phillies.
The former Vol has recorded eight hits in his last 11 games.
Senzel has recorded a .245 batting average in 2022, totaling four home runs, 22 RBIs, 11 doubles, six stolen bases and 39 runs.
Senzel played for Tennessee from 2014-16 and was the No. 2 overall pick by the Reds in 2016. The former Vol made his MLB debut in 2019.
He was an All-American for the Vols. During his junior season and final year at Tennessee, Senzel led the SEC with 25 doubles.
