The Cincinnati Reds have placed former University of Tennessee baseball player Nick Senzel on the 10-day injured list.
Senzel, who is in his third season with the Reds, was placed on the injured list Friday with left knee inflammation.
The former Volunteer and Farragut High School star has played at second base, third base and center field for Cincinnati this season.
He is hitting .252 with one home run, eight RBIs, two stolen bases, 18 runs and four doubles for the Reds (20-23), who are in fourth place in the National League Central Division.
Senzel was a first-round selection in the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. He was taken by the Reds with the No. 2 overall selection.
Senzel left Tennessee after his junior season.
