MILWAUKEE — Cincinnati Reds’ center fielder Nick Senzel has missed his team’s last two games as he nurses an injury.
He was removed from Friday night’s game, an 8-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park, in the fourth inning due to groin stiffness.
Senzel was batting in the leadoff spot of manager David Bell’s lineup for the first time this season and had a walk and an RBI before being taken out of the game.
He then missed the final two games of the series.
The Reds are off Monday before returning to home to face the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday.
The team is hoping to have him back upon its return home.
Senzel played baseball for the University of Tennessee after enjoying a stellar career at Farragut High School.
