Washington defeated Cincinnati, 6-3 in 10 innings, Friday at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Former Vol Nick Senzel started in right field for the Reds. He was 1-for-5, recording his ninth home run, 37th RBI and 35th run of the season.
Senzel played for Tennessee from 2014-16, earning All-Southeastern Conference and All-America honors.
The former Vol was selected by the Reds in the first round of the 2016 MLB draft with the No. 2 overall pick. Senzel came to the Vols from Farragut High School in Farragut, Tennessee.
The Reds will next play Washington on Saturday at Great American Ball Park. First pitch is slated for 4:10 p.m. EDT.
