CINCINNATI — After getting off to a slow offensive start, Cincinnati Reds center fielder Nick Senzel appears to be finding his groove at the plate.
Senzel, a former University of Tennessee standout and Farragut High School graduate, is now batting .304 with a home run and three runs batted in.
In his most recent game, Senzel went 1-for-2 with a walk as the Reds dropped a 4-2 decision to their in-state interleague rivals, the Cleveland Indians, Tuesday night at Great American Ball Park.
With the loss, the Reds dropped to 5-6 on the season.
Senzel, the No. 2 overall draft pick by Cincinnati in 2016, played three seasons with the Volunteers, earning multiple honors. He was also an All-State performer in high school for the Admirals.
