Leaders accept responsibility, and no one in college football is more of a leader than Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. After a brutal Week 2 loss to the Texas Longhorns at home, Saban accepted responsibility for the poor performance of the team.
Saban was originally asked by Ryan Hennessy of WVTM how he keeps his players focused on the task at hand instead of all of the outside noise.
His answer had everything to do with the standard they are trying to promote at Alabama and what his job is as the head coach of the program.
He mentioned that everyone criticizing him is correct because he didn’t coach well and the game didn’t go the way of the Tide. Saban made it clear, he didn’t perform how he should have and the team lost the game, but that some people lose their jobs after not performing well and then they can’t feed their families.
