In his ESPN College GameDay debut, Nick Saban shared his official 12-team College Football Playoff predictions. Though some may be shocked, it should not be surprising to see that he does not have the Alabama Crimson Tide as the top-ranked team.
According to the former Alabama head coach, the four highest-rated conference champions will be the Georgia Bulldogs, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Florida State Seminoles, and the Utah Utes. Additionally, Liberty is the next-highest-ranked conference champion.
There are five SEC programs and three Big Ten programs, which means two-thirds of the College Football Playoff would be coming from those two conferences.
As for his former team – or teams (plural) – Saban has the Crimson Tide ranked No. 7 facing the No. 10 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, with the LSU Tigers ranked No. 11 facing the No. 6 Oregon Ducks.
