Michigan State football wide receiver Nick Marsh was set to break a record that has stood for almost 30 years in Spartan football history.
Marsh was one reception behind Sedrick Irvin, who held the freshman reception record at 40 receptions. After a 2 reception, 13 yard performance against Rutgers, Marsh broke the record.
Two receptions was just enough for Marsh, who passed Irvin by 1, giving him 41 receptions and putting him atop on the all time list.
Marsh continues to be an outstanding additional to the Spartan program both on and off the field.
