Coming off of a breakout sophomore campaign, it’s safe to say that Badgers outside linebacker Nick Herbig will find himself at the top of opposing teams scouting reports in 2022.
Last season, Herbig took his game to another level, quickly becoming a premier pass rusher on Jim Leonhard’s top ranked defensive unit.
In 636 total snaps, the 6-foot-2, 227-pound OLB totaled 57 tackles, 37 pressures, nine sacks, and six QB hits.
Per PFF, the Badgers star LB had a 27.3% pass rush win rate which led all Big Ten edge rushers last season.
The Kauai, Hawaii native is in line to be the face of the Badgers defense in 2022, and one of the most tenacious pass-rushers in the entire country.
