The Mitchell Trubisky era in Chicago might’ve just reached its end.

Bears coach Matt Nagy benched Trubisky in favor of quarterback Nick Foles halfway through the third quarter against the Atlanta Falcons.

Trubisky had been struggling all game, and he had just thrown an interception on the previous drive, which led to a Falcons field goal to extend their lead to 26-10 in the third quarter.

This is the first time Trubisky has been benched for his performance, although there’s reason to believe the same happened last season against the Los Angeles Rams, where Nagy said it was due to a hip injury.
