Nick Chubb, Larry Ogunjobi the latest Browns to miss practice with injury

The Browns injury report is getting more crowded by the day

On a day where starting linebacker Mack Wilson left Cleveland Browns practice on a cart with a left knee injury, two other starters also sat out for the first time due to injury issues of their own.

Running back Nick Chubb and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi each sat out Tuesday’s padded session.

Chubb’s absence was expected one day after he suffered a neck injury after being tackled high by Wilson. The team announced Chubb is in the concussion protocol and will not return until he clears the league’s approved brain injury guidelines.

Ogunjobi sat out with a groin injury. It was described as a precautionary rest and not a long-term issue. Third-round rookie Jordan Elliott took Ogunjobi’s spot with the starters.

Myles Garrett continues to rest his hamstring. Jarvis Landry and Karl Joseph returned to action on Tuesday after both sat out Monday’s rain-soaked session as they recover from offseason surgeries.
