The accolades continue to pour in for Penn State’s next star running back. Nicholas Singleton was named Mr. PA Football for the 2021 season as the top high school player in the state of Pennsylvania for last football season. Singleton received the honor for the 4A-6A classification, and he wasn’t the only Nittany Lion adding some awards to his mantle either.
Quarterback Beau Pribula was named the 2021 Michael Payton Award winner for the 2021 season.
Singleton has already been heralded as one of the top players in the Class of 2022, and he had been rated as one of the top prospects in the state of Pennsylvania. Singleton was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year just prior to signing with Penn State in the early signing period. The running back phenom was also named the Maxwell Football Club’s offensive player of the year.
Both Singleton and Pribula have already enrolled on campus with the Nittany Lions and are participating in offseason workouts leading into spring football practices, which begin next week.
Another Penn State commit, quarterback Drew Allar, was previously named Mr. Football in Ohio.
