On Monday, the Brooklyn Nets assigned Nicolas Claxton to the G League for the first time. The rookie had not played in a game since Thanksgiving Eve, and there was no reason to expect any change with Jarrett Allen eating up most of the minutes at center and DeAndre Jordan providing quality minutes off the bench.
Claxton was able to play right away with Long Island, who had a game against Raptors 905 on Monday.
Unfortunately for the 2019 Nets draft pick, he was only able to log six minutes of play. The rookie big man suffered a hamstring injury and did not return for Long Island.
Just in: Nic Claxton (hamstring) has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
