Two days after Caris LeVert was able to make his return to game action, Nic Claxton is set to do the same in Brooklyn’s matchup against the Orlando Magic on Monday.
The Nets rookie has been out since he injured his left hamstring on December 9 while on assignment with the Long Island Nets, Brooklyn’s G League affiliate. Since then, he’s been dealing with what the team diagnosed as left hamstring soreness.
In addition to Claxton, DeAndre Jordan will be available for Kenny Atkinson. The veteran big man had been downgraded to probable due to a right knee contusion, but he has been cleared and will be available on Monday.
Kyrie Irving (right shoulder impingement) remains sidelined. LeVert will be unavailable on Monday, as well, due to injury management of his surgically repaired right thumb. However, LeVert is expected to play for the Nets on the second day of their back-to-back, when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder.
