The LSU Tigers may be 2-2 on the season through four games, but the team has playmakers all over the field who will eventually go on to make an impact at the next level.
On Tuesday, CBS Sports released their updated mock draft for the 2021 NFL draft, and two Tigers players are listed in the first round.
Former Tigers receiver Ja’Marr Chase and current wideout Terrace Marshall Jr. are the two players expected to go in the first round.
Ja’Marr Chase
CBS Sports has Chase being selected fourth overall by the New York Giants.
The Tigers receiver opted out of the 2020 college football season to begin preparations for the 2021 NFL draft.
Chase is a talented wideout who could give New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones a new go-to target in the passing game.
The 2019 Biletnikoff Award winner, Chase finished his LSU career with 107 career receptions for 2,093 yards and 23 touchdowns. He averaged 19.6 yards per catch in his two seasons as a member of the LSU football team.
Terrace Marshall Jr.
Marshall is currently the top target on the LSU offense, and has put up 512 yards on 27 receptions for nine touchdowns in 2020.
He has become a talented wideout that shadowed Chase and Justin Jefferson last season, but still made a significant impact.
CBS has Marshall Jr. being selected 27th overall to the Green Bay Packers. The Packers could use an extra weapon in the passing game, and Marshall Jr. would fit their scheme well.
Marshall still has the remainder of the season to play at LSU, with the chance to increase his draft stock even higher with at least six games remaining.
Just this week, he was listed as a potential first-round selection.
