NFLPA executive director releases statement on situation involving Ravens QB Lamar Jackson

NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith released a statement on the current situation involving Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson have still not reached a resolution on a long-term extension, leaving his status with the team in limbo. He was given the non-exclusive franchise tag by Baltimore a few weeks ago, which currently comes in at a $32.4 million guaranteed cap hit.

While Jackson appears to be seeking long-term fully-guaranteed money, he doesn’t have an agent to negotiate on his behalf, instead relying on his team and the advice of the NFLPA. On Friday, NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith released a statement on Jackson’s situation, calling out the owners and mentioning possible collusion from them.
