NFL.com: Vikings draft pick Justin Jefferson could be an upgrade over Stefon Diggs

Do you think Justin Jefferson could actually be better than Stefon Diggs?

Minnesota lost its leading receiver in the offseason, but an analyst at NFL.com thinks draftee Justin Jefferson could actually be better.

Daniel Jeremiah explained why Jefferson could be an upgrade:

“I think when you look at Justin Jefferson, he gives you a little more size. He’s going to win right now in the slot. He’s going to be very trustworthy as a pass catcher there in Minnesota for their quarterback in Kirk Cousins, cause I think he’s going to be outstanding there.”

Fellow NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks also rated Jefferson high, saying “he’s going to be an outstanding playmaker.”

Jefferson was a second-team All-SEC honoree. In his final collegiate season at LSU, he hauled in 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Diggs had 1,130 yards and six touchdowns in 2019 with the Vikings. If Jefferson can come close to those numbers, it seems like the Minnesota offense will not take a step back in 2020.
