NFL writer Peter King admits he didn’t vote for Troy Polamalu for HOF

Peter Kind didn’t use any of his HOF votes on Troy Polamalu.

Over the weekend, former Pittsburgh Steelers legend Troy Polamalu was named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on the first ballot. Considering how great Polamalu’s career was, you would assume he would have been a unanimous vote.

But you would be wrong.

NFL writer Peter King discussed his HOF vote in his latest column and admitted he did not vote for Polamalu. His reasoning behind using his vote elsewhere was a moral decision and one I adamantly disagree with.

King felt like he was safe to spend his three votes on other players on the assumption Polamalu would get enough votes to get in and King could say he voted his conscience.

This worked out but had several votes taken his high and mighty approach, it could have cost Polamalu a spot when he was easily the most deserving candidate on the ballot.
