Tim Tebow’s brief stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars came to an end Tuesday morning when it was announced that the team had released the 34 year old former QB/turned aspiring tight end who was trying to make a return to the NFL after being out of the league for nine years.
It wasn’t a surprising move, considering how things went for Tebow in last Saturday’s game against the Browns. He went viral for one goofy-looking block and then went viral again for an even worse block.
This was the right move by Urban Meyer, who needed to end this charade before he lost the locker room in his first year as head coach of a NFL team.
Adam Schefter had the news:

Tebow had this classy response:
Thankful for the highs and even the lows, the opportunities, and the setbacks. I’ve never wanted to make decisions out of fear of failure and I’m grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream…
