NFL will have several new drills at combine this year

There will be several new drills used at the 2020 NFL Combine.

As the NFL continues its efforts to make its offseason events made-for-television friendly, the league announced last week that several new drills will be added to the 2020 combine.

The NFL has added 16 new drills. Perhaps the most notable addition for viewers is an end zone fade route drill. Quarterback prospects will throw short fades to wide receiver prospects, who will try to keep their feet inbounds as they haul a pass in near the back of the end zone.

The list of the remaining new combine drills can be seen on NFL.com.

Broncos general manager John Elway and coach Vic Fangio will attend the combine in Indianapolis later this week and they will both have availability to speak to the media about the team’s offseason plans.

Elway is scheduled to speak Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. MT but that is subject to change depending on when the competition committee meets. Fangio is scheduled to speak Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. MT.
