The Los Angeles Rams began the season with two tough games against the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. They came out of that rivalry stretch with a 1-1 record and a plus-10 point differential, which is pretty good, all things considered.
Now they’ll face an underachieving Bengals team that sits at 0-2 and is approaching desperation time. Despite Cincinnati potentially being without Joe Burrow, most experts are still picking the Bengals to beat the Rams.
According to Tallysight, only 43% of experts are taking the Rams to win on Monday night. However, with the spread sitting at Rams +2.5, 56% of them are picking Los Angeles to cover. So at the very least, most pundits expect the Rams to keep things close.
As for the over/under of 43.5 points, it’s a near-even split: 49% over, 51% under.
It’s hardly surprising that more than half the experts this week are taking the Rams to lose, given the low expectations they came into the season with. But this is a game that feels like Los Angeles could’ve been favored in.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see them pull off the so-called “upset” against Cincinnati on Monday night, even being on the road.
