Week 2 is nearly in the books with just 2 games left to play out on Monday night and it’s a little early to start talking about undefeated or winless teams with one exception: the New England Patriots (0-2). The Patriots lost 24-17 to the Miami Dolphins (2-0) on Sunday Night Football, beginning the season 0-2 for the first time since 2001 and snapping the NFL’s longest streak of avoiding back-to-back losses to start a season.

The Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) are also winless to kick off the season after falling 27-24 to the Baltimore Ravens (2-0) but finally notched their first offensive touchdown of the season in the 3rd quarter. The New York Giants (1-1) also didn’t get their first offensive touchdown of the season until the 3rd quarter of their 31-28 victory over the Arizona Cardinals (0-2). New York had been held off the scoreboard altogether for 6 quarters, being outscored 60-0 to start their season before a miraculous Week 2 comeback.

The Giants will look to carry that momentum into a Thursday Night Football meeting with the San Francisco 49ers (2-0) when Week 3 gets underway. The Patriots will have a chance to avoid an 0-3 start when they square off the AFC rival New York Jets (1-1) on Sunday, while the Bengals will have to wait until Monday Night Football when the Los Angeles Rams (1-1) visit to try to get in the win column.

One of the Los Angeles Chargers (0-2) and Minnesota Vikings (0-2) will get their first win of the season Sunday as long as they don’t tie. Either the Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) or Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) will take their first loss of the season Monday — again, provided they don’t tie.
