For his NFL starting debut, Jalen Hurts may have gotten somewhat lucky to get a matchup against Taysom Hill, a — shall we say — limited quarterback. Regardless, Hurts was impressive. Maybe he completed just 56.6% of his passes, but Hurts mostly avoided turnovers with just one fumble. He finished the 24-21 win over the New Orleans Saints with 167 passing yards, one touchdown and 106 rushing yards.
So as Hurts heads for a matchup with a more formidable quarterback in Kyler Murray, there’s reason to be skeptical that the Eagles rookie can manage a win. Las Vegas has the Cardinals as 6-point favorites. But I believe Hurts and Philly can pull off their second upset in as many weeks. I think Hurts can continue his hot streak against Arizona and a defense that’s a significant downgrade from what Hurts saw last week against New Orleans.
